LARRY CHARLES

  BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

LARRY CHARLES, co-founder of the Trompe l'Oeil Society of Artists, is the most internationally recognized of the Society's painters. His reputation as a master of illusion spans the continents, and his works have been displayed worldwide - from Singapore to New York City. Today most of his work is by commission and is often shown in national magazines, television and in the new book, East Coast Rooms. Educating art lovers about trompe l'oeil has become somewhat of a mission and he can often be found lecturing and authoring articles on the subject when he isn't painting. He has taught at the University of Southern California and is the former worldwide creative director of the largest public relations and advertising agency on Madison Avenue.
