|Gabriela Gonzalez Dellosso (b. 1968) American, received her BFA from the School of Visual Arts and then continued her studies at the Arts Student League of New York and the National Academy of Fine Arts. Her first one-woman exhibition took place in 2006 at the Butler Institute of American Art and was curated by Gary Erbe. In addition, Ms. Dellosso's work has been exhibited at the Allentown Art Museum, Arnot Art Museum, New Britain Museum of American Art, New Jersey Center for Visual Art, Trenton City Museum and the Katonah Art Museum among many other venues. She has received more than twenty five awards since the year 2000 and her work is in the permanent collection of 5 museums. Although there is a strong suggestion of a narrative in her work, she primarily wants the viewer to realize that things are not always what they appear to be.
